Of maken ze er een single van, dat die op de 6e uitkomt. Zal wel zoiets zijn.

New single now at MySpace + Best Of compilation....


On November 25th, The Rasmus will release “Best of 2001-2009”, a compilation of all the hit songs from their four latest albums, including the million-selling “In The Shadows”, most of the singles and a few rarities.


The Rasmus’ new single “October & April”, a duet between Lauri and Anette Olzon from Nightwish, is due for release November 11th. The single have been sent to radios and the video premieres on October 23rd. The song can be listened at the bands MySpace profile.


Says Lauri: "We felt it was time to sum up these past ten years. Eero said, let's call the album "This is how I spent my twenties"... No matter how stupid it sounded that is pretty much the truth. We went on this crazy rollercoaster ride, it has been an amazing time. We have travelled to more than 60 countries, from ..India.. to ..Siberia.., met thousands of fans all over the world and enthusiastic people working with our records. And when I look back on these last four records I feel very proud of them. We decided to include most of the singles to the album with a couple of our favorite album tracks, and the new song October & April.”

Maar hij valt wel een beetje tegen hoor xD Anette ziet er echt oud uit >_> En ze lopen de hele video, een beetje zoals in Funeral Song en dan heeelemaal op het einde komen ze bij elkaar en geeft Anette Lauri een aai en wordt hij ook wit

The Rasmus Goes Back To School....

The Rasmus celebrates their 15th anniversary by playing a gig in the gym hall of Suutarila school in Helsinki on 23rd November. The venue is the same where the band first started their career in 1994 in the school’s Christmas Party.

Because of the limited capacity of the venue, the event is for invited guests only. The audience consists of a group of old class mates of The Rasmus members, some of the present pupils of Suutarila school and the winners of a special contest run by Irc-Galleria. Irc-Galleria will also broadcast the whole concert as a live stream world wide. Viewing the stream does not require registration to the service.

IRC-Galleria is one of the largest social networking websites in Finland with over 800 000 weekly users.

The event is implemented together with Sulake (the administrative corporation of IRC-Galleria) and Mikkeli University Of Applied Sciences. The multi-camera production is provided by Mikpolis Oy.

De reden waarom ze niet aan het touren zijn:

The Rasmus wants to make a new album on a smaller scale and by accident.

The Rasmus will work on a new album but on a smaller scale. Previously Black Roses album was produced by the well-known American producer Desmond Child with the United States.

The Rasmus, released in 2008 the album, Black Roses, set for much pressure, because the producer was Desmond Child. He has worked with Bon Jovi, Aerosmith and Kiss. Despite the expectations, the disc was not a commercial success. The Rasmus Lauri Ylönenhas said the new album will be done quite another way.

-"The previous-disc was recorded in American studios. Now, if you did just the opposite you should make the disk layout, almost like an accident. And will sound really good" Ylönen says.

Ylönen will travel to Singapore, resident guitarist Pauli Rantasalmi to work on creating new songs.

-"We've done over the summer break about 40 songs. Then what is being achieved and may have already started to record songs in their studio in Helsinki."

Hello everyone!I hope the spring is treating you all up
here well, and that in the southern hemisphere the autumn is not too
cold for you guys there..


We are back in the
studio now, we had a practice today for the upcoming summer
concerts. We'll soon be back to recording in the studio, and i decided
that i want to keep you all posted.. So we opened a facebook account to
where i can send photos easily.
Please have patience with us,
as we are known to be not so fast and grand in all things internet.


But
anyways my goal is to send a pic a day, sometimes it's not from studio
or even not something connected with the band, but i promise at least i
try to send a pic a day and one line of comment.

Yep, Aki heeft het bevestigd: The Rasmus Lauri will release a solo album before the new TheRasmus album. It will be out in the spring.
Dus het nieuwe album komt niet voor maart uit. Weten we dat alvast.
